Hey there! How’s going?
As promised, I’d like to do a quick interest check on our future projects!
It’s still too early to start a new project, and I want to give as much time as possible to our Funger zine so it gets the attention it deserves. So, please don’t take this message as an indication that something will happen soon.
Just to clarify, we WILL NOT be reaching out to those who left the server shortly after the zine was released.
Also, spectators and new members can vote!
Here are some themes we’ve been considering:

1-A Dark Fantasy-themed zine—anything related to Elden Ring, Vermis, Funger, etc., where you can also use original characters and settings.

2-A second wave of the Funger zine.

3-An Indie Games zine (such as Faith, Mouthwashing, etc.).

4-A Web Series zine (such as Petscop, Angel Gabby, Mandela Catalogue, The Walten Files, etc.).

5-A "Girl Power" zine—something completely unrelated to horror themes, just to celebrate our favorite female characters (all proceeds would be donated to the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation).

On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. I want a secure messaging app, should I use Telegram? Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
