Потерпевшие обращались к председателю ЗСНО Евгению Люлину с просьбой лишить его депутатских полномочий, но не получили ответа. Более того, дело было направлено из прокуратуры на доследование. Создается впечатление, будто Люлин продолжает защищать своих депутатов, если те попадают в поле зрения правоохранительных органов и следствия. То же самое было в начале 2000-х по уголовному делу Михаила Дикина.
