La sua ultima missione (considerata praticamente un suicidio da principio, ne è uscito vivo solo out of spite — e per Kiwi) lo danneggia in modo permanente: a seguito di problemi con uno shard infetto, e dopo aver impedito ad una delle brecce nel Blackwall più grandi degli ultimi anni di far collassare l'intera rete di Night City, si è ritrovato con un engramma nel cervello non proprio funny. Questa missione lo spinge a lasciarsi alle spalle anche questo lavoro, per cercare un po' di pace.
