Накануне, 16 февраля, 27-летний водитель «Тойоты Корона Премио» без прав в состоянии алкогольного опьянения не смог проехать по широкому мосту в Баргузинском районе Бурятии. ДТП произошло рано утром между селом Макаринино и поселком Усть-Баргузин. Водитель не справился с управлением и врезался в дорожное ограждение. В ДТП пострадали юные пассажирки пьяного водителя: девочки 15 и 16 лет, также оказавшиеся в состоянии опьянения, были доставлены в медицинское учреждение с различными травмами, сообщили в пресс-службе УГИБДД МВД по Бурятии.

Continuing its crackdown against entities allegedly involved in a front-running scam using messaging app Telegram, Sebi on Thursday carried out search and seizure operations at the premises of eight entities in multiple locations across the country. Artem Kliuchnikov and his family fled Ukraine just days before the Russian invasion. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp.
