Традиция в клубе началась еще в 80-е. Тогда «Химик» жил довольно скромно (даже скромнее, чем сейчас), и дарить игрокам дорогие подарки было проблематично. В итоге административный штаб клуба решил выйти из положения и дарить на день рождения игрокам шампунь.

В итоге традиция жива уже около 40 лет. Так, сегодня свой гель для душа получил защитник Алексей Чубукин, которому сегодня исполнился тридцатник.
