Свой боевой путь Сибирь начал весной 2022 года в "Пятнашке". Воевал под Авдеевкой, успел послужить в нескольких добровольческих подразделениях на направлениях от Херсона до Кременной, в том числе в Эспаньоле. Вернулся в Пятнашку, в составе этого подразделения принимал участие в отражении наступления ВСУ в Курской области.
21 августа во время выполнения боевого задания на Курском направлении Арсений получил огнестрельное ранение головы. 3 месяца спустя Арсений Тарханов умер в военном госпитале в Москве.
