Экс-депутат городской думы, житель села Заокское Рязанского района Дмитрий Панкин вышел в одиночный пикет к правительству области с плакатом: «Нет ликвидации сельских поселений! Дайте жить деревне!!!».
Как Панкин объяснил изданию «Рязань. Вид сбоку», он уверен, что «передача бюджета и полномочий в район приведёт к тому, что жители утратят влияние на дела поселения, а сёла Заокское и Коростово не получат даже сегодняшнего крошечного финансирования».
Ранее депутаты многих сельских поселений не стали голосовать за типовое решение о поддержке инициативы ликвидации сельских поселений и преобразование Рязанского района в муниципальный округ.
