Насколько известно, решение об увольнении руководителя было принято после внеплановой проверки, которую провел начальник Федеральной таможенной службы РФ Валерий Пикалёв.
Проверка выявила ряд нарушений на Смоленской таможне.
На данный момент обязанности начальника таможни исполняет его первый зам, подполковник таможенной службы Павел Гришанков.
