Дом технической учёбы — здание эпохи конструктивизма, построенное в Ленинграде в 1930—1932 годах в целях расширения соседнего Дворца культуры им. Горького и предназначенное для повышения профессиональной квалификации рабочих. Его создание было поручено создателям ДК — архитекторам А. И. Гегелло и Д. Л. Кричевскому и инженеру В. Ф. Райляну.
Отказавшись от ленточных окон, архитекторы осветили каждый класс тремя окнами — этот приём с тех пор надолго вошёл в архитектуру учебных зданий. В сторону площади здание обращено параболическим выступом, в котором размещены три аудитории амфитеатром.
С 1939 года в здании находится Ленинградский технологический институт Всекопромсовета им. В. М. Молотова, ныне Санкт-Петербургский государственный технологический университет растительных полимеров.

Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee.
