هو عبادةٌ يُتقربُ فيها إلى الله، ويُتنسّك فيها إليه سبحانه، وهي ميدان القرابين إليه من الدماء والأشلاء، وموطن إغاظة أعداء الدين وجُند الشيطان وأوليائه، وبه تنال الأمة رزقها، وتدحر فيه عدوّها ويحصل لها به الإيمان واليقين، وتتجلّى فيه مراتب العبوديات.
اللهم حبّب إلينا الجهاد في سبيلك، وارزقناهُ من عندك، واجعل حبّك وحب رسولك وحب الجهاد في سبيلك أحب إلينا من آبائنا وأبنائنا وإخواننا وأزواجنا وعشيرتنا وأموالنا وتجارتنا ومساكننا..
