Это стало ответом на размещение северокорейских военных в Курской области. На первом этапе ATACMS могут быть задействованы в приграничных районах, но чиновники полагают, что Байден не будет возражать против ударов и по другим российским территориям.
Решение, скорее всего, связано с намерением дать КНДР понять, что ее вступление в войну нежелательно. Коренных перемен в ходе боевых действий в США не ожидают.
