Губернатор Кемеровской области Сергей Цимлев и глава Волгоградской области заключили соглашение о стратегическом партнерстве. Помимо укрепления взаимодействия в торгово-экономической, научно-технической, культурной сферах регионы планируют реализовывать совместные проекты по патриотическому воспитанию молодёжи и внутреннему туризму.
Андрей Бочаров принял участие в открытии мемориала Воину-освободителю и передал капсулу с землей с Мамаева Кургана. Прообразом воина стал уроженец Кузбасса, защитник Сталинграда Николай Масалов.
