В Казахстане школьник (9 класс) создал солнечный коллектор. Экспериментальная установка размером 0,33 м² продемонстрировала способность нагревать воду до 30°C и накопить 2 142 000 Дж энергии за день. По словам изобретателя, солнечный коллектор также можно использовать для обогрева сельскохозяйственных и жилых помещений, а также обеспечения горячей водой.
