Жители республики еще с 22 февраля начали собирать товары первой необходимости. На сегодняшний день населением и различными организациями Якутии переданы более 20 тонн гуманитарного груза в ДНР и ЛНР.
Отдельно из резервного фонда Якутии были выделены денежные средства тоже для прямой гуманитарной помощи.
Беженцы, прибывшие в Якутию, в основном приехали уже к живущим здесь родственникам. Волонтёры помогли им адаптироваться в новых условиях, собрать документы. В первую очередь помощь была оказана тем, кто разместился в пунктах временного размещения. Эту поддержку получили не только размещённые в ПВР беженцы, но и те, кто приехал к родственникам.
