По словам скульптора Александра Ноздрина, военкор изображен в бронежилете, так как он все время был в зоне опасности. Барельеф создавался полгода, а бронзу выбрали сразу, так как "бронза — это вечный материал, память вечна".
❗️Семен Еремин погиб 19 апреля прошлого года во время съемки репортажа в зоне спецоперации при атаке FPV-дрона. После второго сброса с беспилотника журналист был ранен, впоследствии он скончался. О его гибели стало известно 19 апреля. Еремину было 42 года.
Президент России Владимир Путин наградил Еремина орденом Мужества посмертно.
