🌍🌎 World Environmental Education Day 26 January 2025 روز جهانی آموزش محیط زیست، که هر ساله در ۲۶ ژانویه برابر با ۷ بهمن ماه برگزار می شود، به عنوان یادآوری جهانی از اهمیت آموزش زیست محیطی در تقویت پایداری و حفاظت از کره زمین است. این روز بر افزایش آگاهی در مورد مسائل زیست محیطی، تشویق افراد، جوامع و سازمان ها به برداشتن گام های فعال در جهت حفاظت تمرکز دارد. بر نقش آموزش در شکل دادن به شهروندان مسئول که اهمیت حفاظت از منابع طبیعی را درک می کنند، تأکید می کند. روز جهانی آموزش محیط زیست، مؤسسات آموزشی، سازمان‌های غیردولتی و سازمان‌های زیست‌محیطی را تشویق می‌کند تا کمپین‌های آگاهی، کارگاه‌ها و سمینارهایی را سازماندهی کنند که موضوعاتی مانند تغییرات آب و هوا، آلودگی، جنگل‌زدایی و از دست دادن تنوع زیستی را برجسته کنند. روز جهانی آموزش محیط‌زیست همچنین بر ادغام آموزش محیط‌زیست در برنامه‌های درسی مدارس تأکید می‌کند. هدف آن پرورش تفکر انتقادی، خلاقیت و نوآوری برای حل مشکلات پیچیده زیست محیطی و ایجاد جامعه ای پایدار است.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
