Any Canadian who wants to find out what businesses go out of their way to hire an excess of Third World immigrants funded by their tax dollars, they can use the link Donovan cited. Maybe a degree of boycotting will help send a message? https://x.com/valdombre/status/1943335907341238705

James posits an interesting debacle for the Americans. They have the incredibly hard challenge of stepping over or reforming centuries of deeply rooted classical liberalism in order to save their country. The advantage of Canadian nationalists in the post-liberal era, is that Canada’s founding was conservative, illiberal, and mostly against the enlightenment.

There is no contradiction in Canadian history or ethos to opposing the liberalism, foreign or domestic, that was imposed on us by the liberal party and their continentalist reformers, who couldn’t escape the trappings of our Loyalist heritage. We are naturally conservative, in the traditional sense, as well as in the revolutionary sense.

One of the best portrayals of the Canadian vs American character, is in the Devil’s Brigade (1968). The brass-buttoned Canadians and rowdy Americans form a joint unit.

You don’t need to be a Christian to appreciate the counter-revolutionary political theology of Canadian culture and its origin. It’s just cool. Canadian foundations were throne and altar, against populist, republican liberal democracy and that’s based.

I’m not a Christian, nor do I seek to “restore” Christianity to its former role in society. But does that mean I can’t admire Charlemagne, the Crusaders, the Normans, the Loyalists, or the extraordinary achievements of our Christian forebears? Of course not.

Our history is a tapestry—woven from threads before, during, and after the Christian era. It’s all part of our heritage. I reject the idea of disparaging our ancestors for their beliefs—whether they were Christian, pagan, or secular. Their struggles and triumphs helped shape who we are.

I’m not sure why this is controversial. Too much nuance for some.

Sharing this again because it was the most productive and fulling Christian and pagan discussion I had ever heard. So much content is focused on Christian vs pagan, and not Christian & pagan. It gave me a great feeling that these two groups could come together.

Why *are* some people turning to paganism?

In a world where Christianity feels distant and secularism feels hollow, paganism offers myth, ritual, and presence—nature over doctrine, meaning without guilt. Not rebellion, but a sign of spiritual exile.
