В ходе проведения СВО, прикрывая отход сослуживцев, последней гранатой он взорвал себя и окруживших его украинских националистов. Александр Ефимов посмертно награждён орденом Мужества. 3 сентября 2022 года Гвардии старшему лейтенанту Александру Ефимову было присвоено звание Героя Российской Федерации.
Почтим память нашего земляка! Слава о его Подвиге навсегда останется в наших сердцах🙏…

Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup.
