I like to think that hundreds of years in the future a considerable amount of schizo conspiracy theorists will point at this and say that this is the evidence that their ancestors - in this context, us - used to know some sort of extraterrestrial form of life very well and even contact with it. People even do this now - e.g. nazca lines, pyramids and depictions of their gods within, fucking crop circles, poorly edited vids of UFOS OOOOOOOHHHH flying around... The only thing they overlook is that all of the aforementioned stuff, Egyptian gods included, is just a form of the most prominent form of media fit to man - shitpost😡

The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks.
