Тюмень разделила первое место с Грозным в рейтинге, составленном Минстроем РФ. В рейтинге оценивалась комфортная среда - это не только благоустройство, но и экология, состояние дорог, развлекательной инфраструктуры, климат, озеленение, пешеходная доступность и многое другое.

Тюмень набрала 233 балла, столько же поставили и столице Чечни в рейтинге среди крупных городов. У других уральских городов дела похуже. Екатеринбург занял седьмое место (203 балла) , Пермь - на 9-м месте (191 балла), 12 место у Челябинска (183 балла) в рейтинге крупнейших городов.

Курган, набравший 175 баллов, назван городом с неблагоприятной средой.
