أقلُّ منافع الأستاذ الفاضل أن يدلَّ على الكتاب الصالح والطريق الصالح؛ فإذا قال لك الأستاذ اشتغِل بهذا الكتاب، وارفُض هذا الكتاب، فقد أفادك فائدة جليلة، ونبَّهك على فضيلةٍ استحقَّ بها منك الشُُكر إلى الأبد.
ولو لم يُفِدك في الكتاب شيئا سوى الدلالة عليه لكفى ذلك شرفا وحقًّا واجبا، ولو صِرتَ في فهمِ الكتاب أكملَ منه لَمَا خرجتَ عن فضله عليك، كما أن الولد إذا أنفَق أفضلَ من أبيه لم يخرج من أن يكون ابنًا له، ولم يَسقط عنه شيء من حقوق الأب الواجبة عليه من التبجيل والتعظيم.
