Автор инициативы отмечает, что оборот онлайн-гемблинга за 13 лет вырос в 440 раз, а налоги — всего в 26 раз. В 2023 году с $15,8 млрд оборота было собрано лишь 0,5% налогов.
Для сравнения, налог с оборота на игорный бизнес составляет 10% в Грузии, 15% в Венгрии, до 22% в Италии. По расчетам, новый налог принесет бюджету до 100 млрд драм.

He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. 'Wild West' Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform.
