8 сентября примерно в 17.00 в оккупированном городе Пологи прогремели взрывы в здании, где собирались «избирательные комиссии», заявил «Суспiльне» законный мэр города Юрий Коноваленко. «Мне неизвестно, насколько разрушено здание. По моим данным, это наш центральный дом культуры. Они и так называемый референдум проводили там, у них там был центральный офис, где они собирались и за гуманитарку голосовали люди. Они рекламировали, что его (дом культуры) типа ремонтировали за счет какой-то Пензы.Поэтому я думаю, это центральный дом культуры был», — сказал он.
Накануне мэр Мелитополя Иван Федоров заявлял, что в Пологах взорвали штаб «Единой россии».
