По предварительным данным, беспилотники пытались атаковать местный военный аэродром. Губернатор региона сообщил, что «большая часть беспилотников уничтожена, жертв нет».

Согласно открытым данным, на военном аэродроме в Морозовке базируется 559 гвардейский бомбардировочный гвардейский полк (в/ч 75392). На аэродроме дислоцированы фронтовые бомбардировщики Су-24, Су-24М, Су-34.
