📚В 1915 году Италия заключила со странами Антанты Лондонский пакт - секретное соглашение, согласно которому страна покидала Тройственный союз с Германией и Австро-Венгрией. Взамен Италия претендовала по окончании войны на часть земель, принадлежавших Австро-Венгрии, а также на другие территории, в том числе и Южный Тироль.
Австрия и Германия такому развитию событий были не рады.
