Началостроительства дополнительной полосы намечено на 2023 год. Ожидается, что ее появление поможет увеличить пропускную способность участка. Также проект предусматривает расширение непосредственно въезда на Академический мост до нормативных двух полос.
Протяженность участка, подлежащего модернизации, составит порядка 600 метров. Дополнительно подрядчик обновит дорожное покрытие.
По словам Руслана Болотова, мэра Иркутска, участок из центра города до Академического моста подвергается высокой транспортной нагрузке в часы пик. Ширина дороги позволяет добавить еще одну полосу и снизить напряженность на дороге.
Отметим, в прошлом году в Иркутске сделали ремонт съезда Академического моста площадью порядка 29 тысяч квадратных метров. Участок покрыли одним из самых износоустойчивых марок асфальта ЩМА.
