О вступлении в отряд ни сам Базаров, ни губернатор не сообщали, поэтому длительность его службы неизвестна. Сегодня губернатор Вячеслав Гладков вручил благодарности вернувшимся из «БАРСа» чиновникам, в том числе и Владимиру Базарову.
Помимо Базарова письма получили: заместители губернатора Александр Лоренц и Андрей Антоненко, министр природопользования Роман Татаринцев, глава Ракитянского района Анатолий Климов, глава Ивнянского района Игорь Щепин и главврач станции скорой помощи Алексей Жиров.
