TLDR: Al Qaeda, being led by the sons of Osama Bin Laden, is planning an attack on the American homeland. Al Qaeda is the organization that masterminded the Abbey Gate bomb, Oct 7th attack, and other actions. Al Qaeda worked with Iran, Afghanistan, Hamas, Hezbollah and others- and continues to.
AQ has evolved as an organization and does not view itself as a singular entity. Rather it views itself as a "Unit" in the Islamic Army. They view other organizations as "units" as well. This is why they have no issue working with ISIS, the Taliban, and Hezbollah.

After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. "Russians are really disconnected from the reality of what happening to their country," Andrey said. "So Telegram has become essential for understanding what's going on to the Russian-speaking world." Stocks closed in the red Friday as investors weighed upbeat remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin about diplomatic discussions with Ukraine against a weaker-than-expected print on U.S. consumer sentiment. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
