Еще одно забытое имя иллюстратора из России. Она подписывалась MKS, что очень сложно идентифицировать. Сначала удалось узнать ее фамилию. КАРСАВИНА. Больше ничего о ней не было известно даже сотрудникам архива Vogue, в редакции которого она работал. Знаменита фамилия в какой-то степени и усложнила поиски - так как везде были ссылки только на русскую балерину Тамару Карсавину.

Но рано или поздно поиски дают результат. Перед вами работы из различных французских журналов МАРИАННЫ КАРСАВИНОЙ. В замужестве Сувчинской (откуда и буква S в подписи). Она - дочь брата великой балерины - Льва Карсавина, который был известным русским философом и историком.

Семья Карсавиных была выслана в 1922 году на знаменитом "философском" пароходе из Советской России, вместе с такими деятелями как Бердяев, Булгаков и др.

В Париже Марианна вышла замуж за музыканта Петра Сувчинского и долгое время работала для известных журналов мод: Vogue, Plaisir de France, Album de la Mode du Figaro и др.
