Запад может предложить Киеву две системы гарантий безопасности, в качестве альтернативы вступления страны в Североатлантический альянс.
Вариант 1: США обеспечивают безопасность страны, как в случае с Южной Кореей после войны и Израилем после войны Судного дня.
Вариант 2: вступление Украины в ЕС. Тогда на страну распространится положение о взаимопомощи: при нападении другие страны должны помогать всеми доступными средствами.
