Портрет читателя в книгах ~•~ В своей обаятельной книге «Howard End is on the landing. A year of reading from home» писательница Сюзан Хилл провела любопытный эксперимент: целый год она не покупала новых книг, а читала и перечитывала только содержимое своих книжных шкафов, которые больше напоминают пещеру-сокровищницу Али Бабы. В итоге Хилл написала мемуары, в которых рассматривает свою жизнь через призму прочитанных книг. ~•~ Перебирая на полках и в закоулках памяти авторов и произведения, писательница придумала еще одну замечательную идею – составить список из сорока книг, которые не просто понравились, но оставили глубочайший след в её душе, навсегда изменив читательскую ДНК. ~•~ Идея такого списка показалась мне головокружительно увлекательной! И пару лет назад я составила свой Портрет читателя в книгах. Сейчас пришло время немного этот список изменить. ~•~ #портретчитателявкнигах

The perpetrators use various names to carry out the investment scams. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes. The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. Either way, Durov says that he withdrew his resignation but that he was ousted from his company anyway. Subsequently, control of the company was reportedly handed to oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Igor Sechin, both allegedly close associates of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. In February 2014, the Ukrainian people ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, prompting Russia to invade and annex the Crimean peninsula. By the start of April, Pavel Durov had given his notice, with TechCrunch saying at the time that the CEO had resisted pressure to suppress pages criticizing the Russian government. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations.
