Пятидесятые и первая половина шестидесятых в США отмечены первой волной атомной истерии. Многие американцы всерьёз готовились к апокалипсису, отсюда грандиозное строительство индивидуальных бомбоубежищ, культура выживальщиков, вот это вот всё. При этом существовало немало пособий по подготовке к условиям атомной войны. Но что интересно, помимо каких-то федеральных изданий, большинство брошюр, инстукций и книг по ГО было выпущено властями штатов, корпорациями, институтами. И соответственно рассчитаны они были на какие-то региональные или социальные особенности. Очень интересно! А названия-то какие: "Личная подготовка в атомный век", "Атомный взрыв вызывает пожар. А ты готов?", "Ты и атомная бомба".
