Часто слышал мнение, что у нас особый менталитет, и русские люди ленивы и любят ходить где попало и как им вздумается.

Ну. Не ценят они труд проектировщиков, которые заботливо спроектировали тротуары под прямым углом.

Если бегло пробежаться по городам Европы, то обнаружится много натоптанных тропинок.

В разных странах их называют по-разному:
"народными"
"козьими"
"слоновьими"

А какие название "натоптышей" слышали вы?🚶
