В Казахстане завершили четырехлетние работы по очистке береговой линии Каспийского моря от скоплений нефтяных отходов.
Это было связано с масштабным месторождением Каражанбас, расположенным поблизости от Каспийского моря. Начиная с периода СССР, почвы там были загрязнены тяжелыми металлами и нефтепродуктами, уровень содержания которых иногда превышал допустимую норму в шесть раз.
"За четыре года была завершена очистка морского побережья от отработанной нефти, в результате удаления более 27 тысяч кубометров отходов из моря и еще 31,7 тысяч кубометров с суши. Все собранные отходы были утилизированы на специальной площадке", - пояснили в компании "Казмунайгаз".
