Акопов — продюсер, телеведущий, основатель компании «Амедиа» и ее стримингового сервиса «Амедиатека». Он был продюсером нескольких выходивших на СТС сериалов: «Моя прекрасная няня» (2004–2009), «Не родись красивой» (2005–2006), «Закрытая школа» (2011–2012).
