Свои названия дом получил в честь первых владельцев. Первым собственником был глава семейства Марко Мильтиад Марко, мигрировавший в Российскую империю. Осенью 1917 года дом продали Николаю Набокову.
Сейчас в здании находится Государственный академический симфонический оркестр Татарстана.
В рамках проекта реставрации рабочие отреставрируют фасады, интерьеры, отремонтируют системы отопления, вентиляции, заменят кровлю и т.д.
Ранее стало известно, что на разработку проекта реставрации Дома Марко (Набокова) потратят 6,6 млн руб.
