Древний курган, описанный русским археологом в 1864.
Одна из высочайших точек Донбасса - с нее видно Азовское море в 90 км.
Стратегическая высота 277.9 в августе 1943 освобождена советскими войсками от нацистских оккупантов.
В августе 2014 понадобилось вновь ее освобождать - от потомков псов Манштейна.

Грандиозный мемориал освободителям (созданный, к слову, коллективом киевских авторов) был разрушен вдребезги прицельным огнем ВСУ.

РВИО и Минобороны по поручению Президента в сжатые сроки восстановили мемориал - 36-метровый гранитный обелиск, 12-метровую фигуру солдата, 4 исторических рельефа, посвященных советским защитникам Родины.
И создали 3 новых - нынешним освободителям Донбасса - Героям СВО. Здесь вновь горит Вечный огонь.

Поздравляю с Днём освобождения Донбасса! С открытием возрожденного мемориала "Саур-Могила"!
