Мемориал" подготовили выпуск коротких анимаций в поддержку политзаключенных. 🫂 Анимационный альманах создан из работ, присланных на опен-колл, а также специально созданных участни.цами AAW. 💔 В сборнике лишь несколько историй из тысяч, а количество политзаключенных растёт. Люди оказываются в тюрьме за антивоенные посты в соцсетях, рисунки и даже за слова в частной беседе. 💔 В заключении человек особенно уязвим. Скверное питание, антисанитария, а также прямое давление и пытки в российских тюрьмах системны. 🕊️ Важно продолжать говорить об узниках и рассказывать их истории. Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp. In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
