Сейчас ее часть огорожена строительными заборами, и там идут работы для организации щитовой проходки перегонных тоннелей для строящейся Бирюлевской линии метро, которая продлится от ЗИЛа до Бирюлево.
Рабочие орудуют бензопилами, уничтожая растущие на участке березы. Но для местных жителей экология и деревья не менее важны, чем строительство метро, и происходящее под окнами, естественно, их возмутило.
