Создание виртуальной сети космических национальных и коммерческих спутников главы МО стран НАТО обсуждали в ходе заседания в Брюсселе. Она нужна для более эффективного обмена разведданными и наблюдения, сообщил генсек организации Йенс Столтенберг.
Соглашение подписали Великобритания, Бельгия, Болгария, Канада, Франция, Германия, Греция, Венгрия, Италия, Люксембург, Нидерланды, Норвегия, Польша, Португалия, Румыния, Испания, Турция и Швеция.
Страны изучат возможности обмена данными с национальных спутников наблюдения, обработку, использование и распространение данных, а также финансирование покупки данных у коммерческих компаний.
Ожидается, что сеть Allied Persistent Surveillance from Space (APSS) начнет работать в 2025 году.
