Уголовное дело о «повторной дискредитации» возбуждено против защитника в 2023 году, изначально суд назначил ему штраф. Но прокурор добился ужесточения приговора, и в феврале Олега Орлова приговорили к 2 с половиной годам колонии.
Защищать себя на суде защитник не стал, так как счёл это бессмысленным. В заключении сотрудники предлагали Олегу Орлову отправиться воевать, но он от такого предложения отказался.

He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities.
