This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. "Russians are really disconnected from the reality of what happening to their country," Andrey said. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram.
