Белоруссия попросила Россию предоставить новый кредит на борьбу с пандемией коронавирусной инфекции через Евразийский банк развития взамен не поступившего в Минск кредита МВФ на эти цели. Об этом, отвечая на вопрос корреспондента РБК, сообщил президент Александр Лукашенко.
«Если бы нам россияне помогли дополнительно через Евразийский банк... Были бы благодарны исключительно в связи с пандемией», — заявил Лукашенко в ходе «Большого разговора» с общественностью и СМИ.
Он объяснил, что Минску нужен новый кредит после отказа МВФ представить средства на борьбу с пандемией. «МВФ нам выделил под миллиард долларов, но наши «беглые» подняли вой: нельзя режиму давать деньги. А эти деньги под COVID, мы уже $1,5 млрд потратили на лечение людей», — отметил он.
«Поэтому мы благодарны были бы — я Путину сказал — если бы через Евразийский банк [выделить деньги]», — добавил Лукашенко.

Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform.
