В ходе них было подтверждено соответствие европейским требованиям TSI, проверена работа систем управления движением поездов ETCS. Но в то же время из-за конструктивных особенностей трехосных тележек локомотиву ограничили скорость в кривых.

В 2019 году польская PKP Cargo заказала 31 такой локомотив, включая 24 двухсистемные машины. После получения сертификата от ERA перевозчик начал приемку первых электровозов. По словам главы Newag Збигнева Конечека, компания рассчитывает на дальнейшую сертификацию локомотива в других странах с целью применения машины в интермодальных перевозках между Балтийским и Адриатическим морями.
