Гондола аэроплана «Вуазьен» Русской армии с 45 бутылками с зажигательной смесью и 4 авиационным бомбами. Да, предки "коктейлей Молотова" активно использовались в Первой мировой войне русскими авиаторами.

Тогда их не называли "коктейлями Сазонова" или "Горемыкиными", а попросту "бутылками-зажигателями" или "зажигателями". Когда поняли, что аэропланы могут не только наблюдать и вести разведку, но и более деятельно принимать участие в боевых действиях, начались активные эксперименты по созданию различных боеприпасов для метания всякого сверху.

Одним из них и стали бутылки с горючей смесью. На втором фото такой "зажигатель" крупным планом. Сделан он "на базе" бутылок "казенки" - водки государственного производства. 1 водочная (пивная) бутылка была равна тогда 1/20 ведра или 0,615 литра. Ваше здоровье!
