Источники утверждают, что у Абу Сайида в Сирии тоже есть заместители-направленцы для взаимодействия с «Хайят Тахрир аш-Шам», «Исламским государством» и другими протурецкими группировками. К примеру, по Идлибу у него есть некий «Абу Фурат».

Абу Сайида называют человеком, контролировавшим отправку боевиков «Сирийской национальной армии» в Нагорный Карабах. Его имя впервые всплыло в сентябре после того, как предыдущего куратора по Сирии — Абу Фуркана — перевели в Ливию.

On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events."
