من المعاني التي خطرت لي في مسألة اشتراط الولي في النكاح هو أن المراد به الحماية لا التسلط؛ والحمد لله وقفت في كلام الإمام الشافعي فيما نقله عنه البيهقي على هذا المعنى؛ قال البيهقي: "وقد جعل الشافعي رحمه الله المعنى في اشتراط الولاة في النكاح كيلا تضيع المرأة نفسها، فقال: "لا معنى له أولى به من أن لا تزوج إلا كفؤا، بل لا أحسبه يحتمل أن يكون جعل لهم أمر مع المرأة في نفسها إلا لئلا تنكح إلا كفوا" [السنن الكبرى]

Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. In February 2014, the Ukrainian people ousted pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, prompting Russia to invade and annex the Crimean peninsula. By the start of April, Pavel Durov had given his notice, with TechCrunch saying at the time that the CEO had resisted pressure to suppress pages criticizing the Russian government. Multiple pro-Kremlin media figures circulated the post's false claims, including prominent Russian journalist Vladimir Soloviev and the state-controlled Russian outlet RT, according to the DFR Lab's report. The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel.
