При этом часть технологий для блокировки предоставит Народно-освободительная армия КНР, часть будет базироваться на разработках России и Беларуси.
Как утверждает «Октагон», блокировка YouTube в России будет возможна в четвёртом квартале 2023 года, после чего власти приступят к работе «по блокировке всех типов VPN». В самом Китае YouTube заблокирован с 2008 года.
