Поезд «Красная стрела» будет сформирован из новых вагонов габарита Т, сообщил глава ФПК Владимир Пястолов.

«Первый состав из габарита Т – будет состав поезда “Красная стрела”. Я делаю анонс. И мы в юбилей “Красной стрелы” на следующий год вместе с производителями обязуемся в рейс отправить первый поезд из вагонов габарита Т – абсолютно свежих, новых, комфортных, широких, приятных», – сказал Пястолов, выступая на форуме «PRO//Движение. Экспо».

Габарит Т больше стандартного габарита вагонов поездов дальнего следования на 28 см в ширину и на 73 см в длину. Первый плацкартный вагон такого размера был презентован в 2020 году, однако до сих пор в серию не пошел.

Последний раз вагоны «Красной стрелы» обновлялись в 2006 году.
