Комик должен был выступать 8 сентября в Нижнем Новгороде, но был арестован на 13 суток за «возбуждение ненависти». Повод для преследования неизвестен, Baza пишет, что дело завели из-за шуток на выступлении Гаврилова в Тбилиси.
Одновременно появилось видео, где Гаврилов говорит, что приносит извинения за «оскорбительные шутки, направленные на граждан Российской Федерации». Тур Гаврилова по стране отменен.
